Day 1: Depart Gympie – Wednesday 23rd December 2020
We set off on our Christmas Tour to Bargara. Our first stop is the National Trust town of Childers. The township is set on top of rolling hills of red soil framed by green fields of sugar cane.
We visit the Paragon Theatre for a behind the scenes historic theatre tour. Time to explore Childers and purchase lunch. Then onto to Apple Tree Creek for a visit to Flying High Sanctuary.
Our next stop is at the Ohana Cider and Winery for a tour and tasting. We take a drive through lush sugarcane fields to Bargara, a popular seaside area which harbours a peaceful and relaxed community away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Arriving at our Accommodation in Bargara we are checking and get ready for early dinner. Then it is off to Mon Repos to visit the Turtle Centre with a guided tour. Experience firsthand the amazing sight of turtles coming in for nesting.

Day 2: Thursday 24th December 2020
Our First stop at Hummock Lookout. Then onto the Botanic Gardens including a visit to the Hinkler Hall of Aviation, an aviation adventure experience. The Hinkler Hall of Aviation was developed to display exhibits celebrating the life and achievements of pioneering solo aviator, Bert Hinkler.
Of course, no visit to Bundaberg would be complete without a visit to the Bundaberg Rum Distillery Bond store. This Australian spirit has been rolled out of the production line for 110 years and today we are here for a guided tour. We will also visit the Bundy Barrel.

Day 3: MERRY CHRISTMAS – Friday 25th December 2020
Merry Christmas!
There will be time to attend church services for those who wish to before we meet for our Christmas lunch. We have a treat in store as we have lunch planned? SURPRISE.
We may have time to squeeze in an afternoon nap before we catch up over dinner to continue the Christmas Cheer at Beach

Day 4: Saturday 25 December 2020
It’s an early start today but what a great day we have in store as we cruise to Lady Musgrave Reef. The Lady Musgrave is a purpose-built high-speed catamaran that will whisk across to Lady Musgrave Island.
Once there the boat ties up to a private pontoon from which we can join a glass bottom boat ride, visit Lady Musgrave Island for a short walk or do some snorkelling. A delicious lunch is served before the cruise departs for the return trip.
Please note Fast cat Ferry take approx. 2.5 hrs in open waters. Those you suffer from motion sickness are advised to take necessary precautions.

Day 5: Going Home – Sunday 27th December 2020
This morning a leisurely start before we board the Bundy Belle for a relaxing 2.5-hour cruise on the beautiful Burnett River aboard the fully restored classic river ferry.
Our Farewell lunch will be at Grunskes By the River Seafood Restaurant. We then head home south arriving in Gympie this afternoon with lots of great memories.
