From late-January to late-March baby turtles begin to erupt from their sandy nests before scurrying their way to the sea under the starry night sky where only 1 in 1000 will survive.

Your Tour Leader
Your tour will be led by Stephen who will joining you on the tour. He will be with you every step of the way on the tour and will experience everything with you. With heaps of experience with tourism Stephen will be a great hand on the tour. He is an adventurous member of the team and will help with making the tour one not to forget.
Day 1: Friday 12th of February 2021
Depart Gympie Our first stop is the National Trust town of Childers. The township is set on top of rolling hills of red soil framed by green fields of sugar cane.
We visit the Paragon Theatre for a behind the scenes historic theatre tour. Time to explore Childers and purchase own lunch.
We take a drive through lush sugarcane fields to Bundaberg for a stop at the Ohana Cider Winery for a tour and tasting. After this we check in to our motel for an early dinner.
Then it’s off to Mon Repos to visit the Turtle Centre with a guided tour. Experience firsthand the amazing sight of turtles nesting and tiny hatchlings emerging from their sandy nests to scurry down the beach towards the sea.

Day 2: Saturday 13th of February 2021
This morning a leisurely start before we board the Bundy Belle for a relaxing 2.5-hour cruise on the beautiful Burnett River aboard the fully restored classic river ferry.
After which we will have lunch at Grunskes by the River Seafood Restaurant. We then head home south arriving in Gympie this afternoon.
