Day 2: Thursday 25th of March 2021

After breakfast, we join our tour, which takes us to the Proserpine River.

This habitat is home to many species of native birds, mammals, reptiles, and marine animals, including about 150 estuarine crocodiles.

Once onboard, our calm water adventures cruise begins. While seated in complete safety and comfort, you can investigate a marine mangrove ecosystem. Marvel at the many species of flora and fauna and experience unique Australian habitats including melaleuca forests, pastures, marine mangroves, and salt plans which fringe the Proserpine River.

Learn about the history of damper and billy-tea as the guides prepare them fresh. Our guides also prepare a delicious BBQ lunch on site while we are relaxing in comfort at the covered and well-equipped campsite.

Meeting for Dinner at the Foyer at 6:00pm.

Day 3: Friday 26th of March 2021

Whitehaven is waiting for us today.

After an early breakfast, we will transfer from the hotel to the Marina. We hop on our cruise and explore the Whitsundays.

Our first stop is the Hill Inlet Lookout. Upon our arrival, a brief interpretative talk is given. We then take you ashore for a guided tour through diverse vegetation.

Here you can learn about the Ngaro People, likewise the Whitsunday Island flora and fauna. Be sure to have your camera ready when you arrive at the vista. The ever-changing breathtaking views are the most photographed in the Whitsundays.

If you choose not to do the walk, the option to explore the beach, or relax on Whitehaven Xpress is all yours.

Meanwhile, Whitehaven Xpress will remain on anchorage until your return.

After the stunning Hill Inlet Lookout and visit to the swirling sands, Whitehaven Beach and the Whitehaven Beach BBQ awaits! After returning we will have time to refresh before dinner.

Day 4: Saturday 27th of March 2021

After breakfast, you have the opportunity to explore Airlie Beach by yourself or book a small half-day tour to Hamilton Island/Daydream or enjoy a relaxed day on the pool/ocean.

We meet again at 4:30pm for our 2-hour Sunset Cruise, which departs from Coral Sea Marina, which is a short walk from the main street of Airlie Beach.

We circumnavigate Pioneer Bay; we are able to get up close and personal to many points of interest along the Airlie Beach coastline and enjoy a bit of turtle spotting in Turtle Bay.

After the sun sets, enjoy the lights of Airlie Beach at night, while we slowly make our way back to port. Shortly after arriving, we make our way to Dinner a short walk from the Marina.

Day 5: Sunday 28th of March 2021

After a relaxed breakfast, we farewell our hosts and we make our way to the Proserpine Airport.

At Proserpine airport we check-in for our flight home to Brisbane, arriving home with wonderful memories of a lovely week in the Whitsundays.
